I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20+ years experience in the mental health field. I provide virtual therapy for individuals and couples in NC, and in-home therapy for self-pay patients over the age of 65 who live in the Raleigh area.
I specialize in helping adults who struggle with anxiety, executive functioning, single parenting, caregiver burnout, MS or a chronic health issue, gender dysphoria, childhood emotional neglect, grief and loss, narcissistic abuse and recovery, and codependency.
We can't always control our life circumstances, but we can control our response to them. It takes courage to be able to use the discomfort of life's challenges to grow and make changes that allow for peace and contentment. I would feel honored to be a part of your journey.

Individual Therapy
I will meet with you at our scheduled time through the convenience of telehealth which you will access through your patient portal. Through talking in sessions, you will get to know yourself well, become aware of your behavioral, thought, and relationship patterns, your attachment style, and develop an understanding of how you function and why. You will learn to identify when your thoughts are unhealthy and how to correct them, coping skills to regulate your emotions to avoid emotion-driven behavior, how to establish and maintain healthy boundaries, effectively communicate your feelings and needs, and most importantly, to give yourself grace, empathy, and love. As we flow through sessions, I will primarily use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), so we can explore how your patterns of thinking affect your feelings, life experience, and perspective. I believe you are the expert on yourself so I will follow your lead, meet you where you are, and go at your pace, but I will give feedback freely. I may also incorporate other modalities such as DBT (dialectical behavioral), brief-solution, person-centered, relational, or narrative.
Couples Therapy
I will meet with you and your partner at a scheduled time, through the convenience of telehealth, which you will access through your patient portal. If you are not able to be in the same location for the session, you can each log in individually to join. I have worked with couples in which one of them is dealing with gender dysphoria, and/or transitioning, and how to approach this together; couples facing parenting issues, infidelity, infertility, ineffective communication, financial troubles, codependency, intimacy issues, and navigating polyamory. I am kink and LGBTQ+ affirming. I have also helped couples who have decided to separate, to navigate their separation on amicable terms. My priorities in working with couples is to ensure that both people feel heard, that both perspectives are acknowledged, that you will each gain empathy by exploring one another's truth, and that your relationship cultivates the interdependence necessary to be the best versions of yourselves.
I'd be honored to accompany you on your journey.
