   Individual Therapy

I will meet with you at our scheduled time, through the convenience of telehealth that you will have access to in your patient portal. Regardless of the reason you’ve started therapy, you will find it relieving to have an unbiased sounding board to accompany you on your journey. Through talking in sessions, you will get to know yourself well, become aware of your behavioral and thought patterns, your attachment style, and to understand how you function and why. You will learn how to identify when your thoughts are unhealthy and how to correct them, coping skills to regulate your emotions to avoid emotion-driven behavior, how to establish and maintain healthy boundaries, etc. As we flow through sessions, I will primarily use CBT, so we can explore how your patterns of thinking effect your feelings and perspective. I will follow your lead and go at your pace, as you are the expert on yourself, but I will give feedback freely and meet you where you are. Depending on your needs, I may also use dialectical behavioral, brief-solution, person-centered, relational, or narrative therapy.

Couples Therapy

I will meet with you and your partner at a scheduled time, through the convenience of telehealth you will have access to in your patient portal. If you are not able to be in the same location for the session, you can each log in individually to join as long as you are both in NC. I have worked with couples in which one of them is dealing with gender dysphoria, and/or transitioning, and how to approach this together; couples facing parenting issues, infidelity, infertility, ineffective communication, financial troubles, codependency due to addiction, intimacy issues, and navigating polyamory. I am kink and LGBTQ+ affirming. I have also helped couples who have decided to separate, to navigate their separation on amicable terms. My priority in working with couples, is to ensure that both of you feel heard, that both perspectives are acknowledged, that you will each gain empathy by exploring one another's truth, and that your relationship cultivates the interdependence needed to be the best versions of yourselves.

Family Therapy

I will meet with the members of your family via telehealth, with ability to sign on from different locations. No family is "normal." All families have their challenges and are constantly evolving as each individual within the unit ages and grows. I look forward to helping families come together and communicate in a way that they are able to resolve issues, compromise, and gain understanding of one another. Families may benefit from meeting with a therapist to: improve communication for a better understanding of one another, recenter after a loss or transition, adjust to the addition of a new family member, support one another through a medical or mental health issue, resolve resentment from hurts of the past, create boundaries and limits that give adult children the tools they need to launch out on their own. Depending on a family's need, I may use structural family therapy, narrative therapy, or strategic family therapy.

I do not offer services related to court hearings, legal proceedings, or child custody.

I do not provide child custody evaluations or recommendations.
